This article was article I definitely needed to read. I'm not an art major at Old Westbury, not being an art major I'm afraid I won't be able to make art. I know I have a level of creativity inside me but to what extend? Reading this article showed me that anyone can make art in their own way. Salts article matches up with me because I'm a beginner artist. I need to learn how to us my thought process to create and my abilities. This class is definitely out of my comfort zone and will challenge me. I know that I have abilities but can I measure up to the occasion? There were many great key point in this article. I can relate to Rule 1 the most at this moment because part of me is embarrassed. Where do I start? is the kind of feeling I have at the moment. The other is Rule 4, I need to open up my mind more, be more imaginative and out of the box. Working with kids you can become very cookie cutter and I don't want that to portray that in my artwork. I have personally never heard of Jerry Saltz before. This my first time learning about him and I would personally like to learn more. As well as the other artist mentioned don't know anything about them. What I noticed though is not one artwork is alike. They are all unique and different in their own ways. I am willing to learn anything and want to have more knowledge in the art field. I feel that I have it in me and want to explore more of myself through art.
