Artist Statement:

As an aspiring special education teacher, for my exhibition I wanted to focus on students with disabilities. In particular I wanted to focus on students with autism. I decided to use stop motion animation to portray a variety of different situations faced by children with autism. In my stop motion animation, you are going to see Willy the rabbit and how he who navigates and handles his everyday life with autism. My goal for Tutorials III was to bring more awareness and understanding to this disability that is so broad. I’m hoping one day in the future when I have my own classroom to be able show these videos to my students.
